Air & Hydro Vacuum Excavation / Test Pitting
While technology has evolved it is still the case that visual confirmation of buried utilities is the definitive method to verify exact horizontal and vertical data. Obtaining this data is critical for developing a vertical profile during design. It assists with confirming a horizontal alignment, particularly one with narrow parameters. Non-destructive methods of excavating safely expose existing utilities. Precise horizontal & vertical data is obtained on targeted conflicts. Marking/staking of the location & site restoration is performed. Surveying of the location for precise data & preparation of formal test hole reports including pictures.
Utility Designation & Mapping
An invaluable step during the early design phase of civil engineering projects. The identification of underground utility conflicts in the early stages of design avoids costly change orders and project delays. Identifying and contacting underground facility owners within the project limits. An in-depth investigation of the site using electronic utility locating equipment. Available utility records, maps, etc are used as a tool to guide the investigation. Utility sweeps are performed for unknown utilities in the area. Robotic and GPS surveying/plotting of the utility investigation results includes all underground utility related features, designations, anomalies. Final deliverable includes a CADD & PDF file representing the results of the investigation. Project specific field notes will be included as part of the deliverable.
Private Utility Locating
Private Utility Locating Provides horizontal marking of underground utilities within a project area. Miss Utility will only mark publicly owned utilities, our service supplements that by marking any privately owned facilities. Full site investigations of the project area. Marking of all utilities identified. Field sketch provided delineating the investigation results.
